Seven Psalm Fragments

Seven Psalm Fragments for soprano, piano, violin and cello is based on seven fragments of varying lengths from the Psalms of David. Each fragment is a window into the mind of the writer, and these fragments are organized from a call to prayer through praise, despair and triumph and ends with a challenge to ascend the hill of the lord. The settings are ceremonial in nature and are influenced by world vocal music from ethnic traditions such as middle eastern and Spanish traditions.
